About Burlington Berries
Burlington Berries is an expanding and dynamic fruit farm specialising in Strawberries and Raspberries, at Cressy TAS. We are looking for proactive, multitasking people with strong leadership skills, a good work ethic, who are able to work under pressure with a positive attitude.
Our harvest is starting in November! We are looking for both new and experienced Packhouse Team Supervisors who want to lock in a job for October/ November 2017.
Our Ideal Applicant
The ideal applicant will:
- Be available annually for regular seasonal work
- Have good time management and organisational skills
- Enjoy working as part of a team, and independently
- Be positive and approachable
- Work well with multicultural employees
- Be able to carry out instructions and instruct others
- Understand freight logistics and paperwork required
- Have a high attention to detail for quality control
- Be prepared to work extended hours and weekends
- Understand/ Speak English well
- Have a current visa/ permanent resident
- Be punctual and reliable for rostered shifts
- Have own transport and hold a current drivers licence
Additional Information
Packhouse procedure training will be given and a good rate of pay as set by the Horticultural Award.
The Packhouse Team supervisors will help estimate Packhouse throughput rates, make sure staff are hitting KPI’s and need to be confident in basic excel spreadsheets.
Supervisors will liaise with the Harvest, Growing and Packing Managers.
